It’s easy to get mesmerised by the many beautiful hotels around the world. Especially the new hotels which sole purpuse is to create this “WOW”-effect among it’s visitors. In Budapest, however, you’ll find the Boscolo Hotel that for many generations has managed to enthrall it’s visitors. I felt like a princess for a weekend when Mark invited me to this fairytale like hotel in the heart of eastern Europe.

The New York Café

The New York Café

Mark and I have made a promise to each other that we will never stop exploring which is something we both enjoy doing! I got this trip for christmas and I was super excited to go. Both because it would be my first trip to a 5 star hotel but also because I hadn’t been to Budapest for around 10 years. So what better way to go back than by staying at the infamous Boscolo hotel? Boscolo is known for it’s decadent style and the New York Café which many times has been awarded for being the most beautiful café in the world – with good reason! The lavish decorations on both walls and ceilings are fit for a royal and a huge contrast to the very minimalistic scandinavian style that I’m so used to.

We had booked the junior suite which is around 330 euro for a night but you can get a standard room, also with a lot of luxury for around 130 euro a night. Spending a weekend with so much luxury was worth every penny. Just the size of the room and not to mention the bathroom caused a lot of excitement and I wish we know some people in Budapest because we sure could have hosted a huge party in there! (;

The Boscolo Spa

The Boscolo Spa

Besides the beautiful spacious rooms, the decadent interior and the world famous café, Boscolo is also known for it’s luxurius spa and wellness area. You get free access to the gym, pool, sauna and steam room and then you can buy miscellaneous spa treatments. We had a Swedish massage (which is a full body massage) for around 60 euro. It was so good and just the thought of that massage makes me want to go back right away! Se prices for the spa treatments HERE.
